A joint project of Urban and Eco Buro. We received a grant from the Prague Civil Society Centre and now we are organising a series of events to develop the coastline of Station 13 of the Greater Fountain!
As a result of our activities, drip irrigation of trees on the seaside area was installed, which improves the microclimate of the site. This model has shown that small investments can help to solve the problem of green spaces on the coast of Odesa, and every citizen can do this through their civic engagement. As a result, the cooperation of volunteers, local businesses and the municipal institution responsible for the location was established, which is the basis for a democratic approach to solving urgent problems in the area.
A children's playground was created and the principles of tactical urbanism were worked out with the cooperation of volunteers and city authorities. This event can serve as a good model for implementing low-cost measures to increase the attractiveness of the area with the involvement of civil society.
Research was conducted on the cleanliness of the coast, and waste was collected, which was used to make benches for the area. This approach qualitatively changes the outlook of citizens, as it shows that waste is a valuable resource.
An incredible day with more than 30 people!
